25th anniversary of Reebok Pump

Do you know Reebok pump?

About five years ago, when I was high school student,

Reebok pump was prevail. This pump series was released in 1989

and it used pump system first in the world.

Reebok celebrates its 25th anniversary by making special edition.

They use simple color pattern, premium leather for body part and Urethane.

So, it has storng durability. Its color pattern reminds me of Jordan 3 series.

I don`t have any experience of wearing pumps, but

many people said that this is similar with Jordan`s.

I think this is because Nike took over Reebok.

This edition will released only for man and

you can buy at Reebok online store and Apgujeong store.

Reebok annouced that they will collaborated with other brands.

Nike Christmas Collection!

Hi ~~ Nice sunday isn`t it? lol

Anyway, today I will introduce Nike christmas edition!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Nike made three products of their basketball lines. (Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant in order.)

 

They use red, green, white color for each shoes and we can feel the christmas well !!

 

First, Lebron has few sewing lines, so it is very light.

 

It looks heavy, but it is very light and durable. In my opinion, it just look like Boxing shoes lol.

 

 

Second, Kobe uses green color for its body. Kobe is well known for fashionable features.

 

It is also light as Lebron, but many celebrities and fashion people wear Kobe.

 

 

Last one is Kevin Durant. In fact, I didn`t know about this series also who Kevin Durant is.

I think that this christmas edition is well targeted for customers.

 

Basketball fans and players are waiting for this.

Redwing, too many copy cats.

Cold, cold winter!! I can not wear loafers in winter.

Many people wear boots in winter.

There are many boots brand such as Thorogood, Hawkins ,Redwing and so on.

Among them, Redwing is the most expensive brand.

(In korea, it costs about 300,000 won)


Redwing has a many different producti lines, but

Moc toe and Beck man are widely loved.

Anyway, people prefer Redwing but there are some problems today.

Many other brands have make similar design boots and target the customer with

lower price than Redwing.

They cost about 100,000 ~ 130,000 won.


Many customer buy Thorogood or Hawkins because of the high price.

Then, how redwing gets back their customers from this situation.

They should not reduce their price, because customers can be suspicous about

their original price and it gives them repulsion.


I think they have to make their boots more durable and orginality.

Including Redwing, many boots use Vibram as their sole.

Vibram is soft and very comfortable, but it isn`t durable.

So, if Redwing use other material as sole, it makes difference with other brands.


They can add some their own features in their shoes.

For example, they use wings for highlighting their shoes.

New balance CM1700 X Barneys NY

These days, I think New balance is one of brand that people want to wear.

New balance has many different shoes lines.

Today, I want to introduce you CM1700!

In New balance, other lines have sharp body and look like light.

However, 1700 have stubby body and look like heavy.

(This is 990 line)

New balance 1700 line collaborated with Barneys NY.

Until now, 1700 collaborated with many other brands such as, MITA(Upper), WHIZ(Middle), Oshman`s(Bottom)

 

1700 with Barneys is differnet from previous collaboration.

It uses white as a main color and use black front and back of the shoes.

This is an appearance from behind. They include embroidery 'LIMITED EDITION'.

Its most notable feature is fluorescent coating.

They call this project as 'Glow in the dark' and it is suitable.

It is very attractive as you can see in the picture.


It costs 199,000 won. You only can buy it at  Hong dae`s New balance store.

Adidas X Pharrel Williams

Hello! ZZZZZZ

It`s me again. Did you see the previous post well? 

Anyway, few days ago, Adidas released the picture of new shoes.

Adidas collaborated with Pharrel Williams who is singer, producer and designer.

Pharrel is a designer of BBC(billionaire boys club ).

He inspires many celebrities in Korea also. 

G-dragon mentioned about him many times and people say that GD followed 

his fashion sometimes

Back in to the real topic!!

Adidas opens some pictures about new shoes.

Adidas gives youthful energy through colorful patterns.

As you see, Dot pattern is main of the shoes. 

Adidas wants to build their vibrant image these days and these shoes show well.

I don`t know its price yet, but I think it will be more than 200,000 won.....

They have shoes, also clothes.

Vans store Apgujeong opening!

Hello! I just finished one exam. I don`t know I did go job or not lol.


Anyway, today I want to introduce the Vans store at Apgujeong.


As you know, Vans is one of the familiar brand to us.

Many young people wear 'Old skool and Skate-High, these days.

This is the exterior of the store.  The man`s picture express the youth and their brand`s 

energy. In addition, they use plain glass, so people can see the inside while they are 

walking.

They placed product comfortably and this makes me feel like I` home.

In addition, they prepare sofa and chair to rest.

They also used paintings for their interior. This is very artistic and fits well with their 

shoes.

In this section, I feel like I`m in factory, It is really vintage atmosphere.

If Louis vuitton use this interior, it is not proper and not good.

They know their brand`s identity very well I think.

They do not focus on selling their products. They said that they want to communicate

with their customers. I think their purpose is well visualized in their store.

Also, they prepare opening stage tomorrow. If you have some time,

ADIDAS VS NIKE

It is too cold to study final exam lol.
Do you have a nice weekend? My weekend was ughhh becuase I have to write
five pages paper for my other class.
Anyway, someone asks about your favorite shoes brand,
most of your answer will be Adidas and Nike.
Today I will compare and contrast Adidas and Nike, Nike and Adidas.

I will write my post with three main points (Main items, advertising campaign)


















1. Main Items

(1) Adidas 'Stan Smith'

This is Stan Smith.  This product is the biggest selling shoes of all adidas shoes.

Stan Smith is inspired by 'Stanley Smith' who is the most famous tennis player in 1970s.

Stan Smith has been sold about 40 million.

It has holes its side instead of usual three lines. As you see in the picture,

White/Green is the most famous color pattern of stan smith.

At tongue of the shoes, a face of stan smith is printed.

You can buy stan smith on the online. Its price is various depend on their color pattern.

Nike Air Force 1 was released in 1982. It was made for the basket ball players to protect

their ankle and sole. Nike used their air technology for the first time for basket ball shoes.

Stan smith doesn`t have any collaboration, but Air force has been collaborated with many

celebrities and brand.

It has very simple design and color pattern at the first time.

However, velcro is the point of the shoes.

It costs about 70,000 won ~ 120,000 average.

2. advertising campaign

(1) Adidas















They had done advertising campaign called 'impossible is nothing.'

Including David beckham, many sports stars were model of this campaign

and they tried to deliver the message that you can do it like them.

This campaign was really successful.


Next, they began another campaign which was 'Adidas is all in' in 2011.

This campaign implies that people can be the one regardless of age, gender, region

and job. Recently, they changed its slogan as 'All in or nothing.'




(2) Nike

Nike began 'JUST DO IT' campaign in 1988 that designed by Widen & Kennedy.

It conveys that everybody can communicate withe each other through the sports.

(This is the first commercial of 'Just do it')

Last year was the twenty fifth anniversary of this campaign and Nike made a souvenir

for themselves. They cast Lebron James and Serena Williams.





Both brands focus on the kind of people`s mental and try to bond it together under


the name of sports. I think their campaigns are really moving and they are not simply

advertisement and it really moves people`s mind.

I think Shoerazzi is a compound word. (shoe + paparazzi)

When you enter the site, you can see eight different categories.

This category gives information about the shoes which celebrity wears.

They write about the shoes` basic information such as brand`s name and its quality of

In this category, they give basic information such as material, price and design.

Collecition part introduces a collection of specific brand. They tell you about the brand
